About our bank

Bank of Handan Co., Ltd. is a regional joint-stock commercial bank with the Handan Municipal Government as its first shareholder. It has 2,300 employees and 123 head offices, branches, sub-branches spread over Handan, Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Xingtai and Qinhuangdao cities. In recent years, the Bank has adhered to the parallel emphasis on business development and risk prevention and control, and has achieved high-quality development in all its businesses and five major leaps: "Regionaliztion-Scalization-Collectivization-Characterization-Branding"

(1) Regionalied development was achieved. Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Xingtai and Qinhuangdao branches and Xinji and Dingzhou sub-branches have been set up, covering over 60% of the province's population and initially establishing a "Regional Bank".

(2) Scaled development was attained. We have grown from the smallest bank in Handan to the largest bank in Handan and the top 1,000 banks in the world. With total assets of 180.86 billion yuan, deposits of 144.35 billion yuan and full-calibre loans of 89.36 billion yuan at the end of 2020, we are equivalent to about twice the size of the second largest bank in Handan and ranked 634th among the world's top 1,000 banks in 2020.

(3) Collective development was made. At the end of 2020, Wu'an Village Bank had total assets of RMB 3.23 billion, deposits of RMB 2.98 billion and loans of RMB 1.8 billion, all ranking 2nd among 110 village banks in the province and 1st among 10 village banks in Handan.

(4) Characterized development was attained. We have earnestly implemented the requirements of the CBRC on the distinctive and differentiated development of city commercial banks. We have worked to incorporate the "happy bank" corporate culture of "quick work, happy customers make me happy" as the core, promote the enterprise spirit of "not afraid of difficulties and sacrifices, be brave enough to take charge and win". We have innovated and built our bank as the "Party Bank", "Free Bank", " Excellent Service Bank", "Night Bank" and "Cash Bank". "Cash Bank", "Agricultural Support Bank", "Smart Bank", "'Three Iron ' Bank", "Integrity Bank", "Public Welfare Bank" and "Culture Bank".

(5) Branding was achieved. The bank won the titles of Province and National Civilized Unit, National "Wuyi Medal", "National March 8th Red Flag Collective", "National Model Collective for National Unity and Progress", "National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee", "National Youth Civilization", "National Advanced Collective of Internal Audit", "China Banking Industry Most Socially Responsible Financial Institution Award" and "National Quality Project" for Handyin Building, and the "National Quality Project"; and won the award of "Financial Contribution" and "Financial Innovation" by Hebei Province Government "Famous Service Brand of Hebei Province", honored as " Advanced Unit to Support Regional Economic Development" for consecutive years, ranked No.1 of financial institutions in the provincial government's evaluation of the banking sector's service to the real economy, and gained excellent prize in a roll in the performance assessment of financial institutions in Handan City.
